Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 June 2026
The short version
pianodropz runs entirely in your browser. The audio or MIDI files you open are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. There is no account and we do not sell your data.
Your files
Transcription, the visualization, and all exports happen locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device. We do not see them, receive them, or keep copies.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, we use PostHog to understand anonymous, aggregated usage (such as which features are used). It is configured to avoid cross-site tracking cookies, to skip session recording and autocapture, and to honour your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting. We do not use this data to identify you and we do not sell it. If analytics is disabled, no usage data is collected at all.
Local storage
We may store small amounts of data in your browser’s local storage (for example, optional analytics state). You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Hosting
Our host (for example Vercel or Cloudflare) processes standard server logs such as IP address and request details to deliver the site, as any website host does. We do not combine this with your files or use it to profile you.
Children
pianodropz is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because we do not hold your files or an account for you, there is very little personal data to access or delete. You can clear local storage in your browser, and you can opt out of analytics via “Do Not Track”. For any questions, contact us at hello@pianodropz.app.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
